Be part of the Joint Safeguarding Adults Board Conference on Thursday 14 June 2018 from 9:30am - 1:30pm at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place, to mark World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD).
"World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is commemorated each year on 15 June to highlight the often silent suffering of the elder generation. This is the one day of the year when the whole world can voice its opposition to the abuse and suffering inflicted on some defenceless older people"

This is a free event, co-ordinated and run jointly by the Telford & Wrekin Safeguarding Adults Board (TWSAB) and the Keeping Adults Safe in Shropshire Board (KASiSB).
Professor Michael Preston-Shoot will be headlining the event, presenting best evidence for working with adults who self-neglect and Mental Capacity Act compliance learning from Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs).
